Swimming Pool

Our 25m x 8.5m four lane pool has a tiled step entry to the shallow end (0.9m) which slopes to a depth of 2m at the deep end. The water temperature of our pool ranges from 29.5’C for general swimming, 30.5’C for parent & toddler sessions and 31.5’C for Aquacare therapy sessions. We also have a waste heat recovery system which provides energy from neighbouring Bowmore Distillery to help heat the water.

Gym

Probably the best view from any gym in Europe! Our gym overlooks the Loch Indaal with magnificent scenery. The gym is fully equipped with a range of both cardio vascular & fixed resistance machines. These include a treadmill, X trainer, Concept 2 rowing machine, recumbent cycle and two spin bikes. If you are unsure on how to use any of these machines, Introductory lessons can be booked to ensure you get the best gym experience you can in the safest way possible.

Sauna

We have a lovely 5 seater eco sauna which boasts colour changing LED background lighting to provide you with the perfect relaxing environment. This sauna is a great way to relieve the stress of the week or simply wind down at the end of the day. Your swimming session is included in the price of admission.

Howat Activity Room

This large activity room is available to hire for meetings or functions with seating space for up to 35 people. Full audio and visual facilities are provided, including a wall mounted 50” TV with a high quality surround sound system. Kitchen and toilet facilities available. This wonderful facility can be accessed via stairs or our new platform lift which provides very convenient disabled access. This activity room is a popular choice for children’s parties and is often combined with a session in the swimming pool with our large 20m inflatable.

Sports Kiosk

At our main reception you will find our sports shop, we sell a range of swim pool accessories such as swim goggles and armbands. Items we sell are proudly displayed for your convenience. Please ask a member of staff if you require any assistance.

Advertising Space

Are you interested in promoting your business in a prime local location? Then rent one of our stylish advertising boards located in the main traffic areas of the building. Reach the 25,000 people who visit the centre each year. Board sizes range from A4 (£30 per annum) to A2 (£120 per annum). We can now accommodate digital video advertising. Launderette

Incorporates a front loading industrial washing machine which can take all of your washing up to the size of a single size duvet. Also a front loading industrial tumble dryer which can take up to two standard sized washing loads. Both machines are token operated and bookable through our main reception.

Hair Salon

We have a state of the art hair salon with professional hair stylist Mandy Richards, skilled with both men and women’s hair. You can find her on the first floor, just follow the signs. The salon is operated independently of the leisure centre, so make sure to book your appointment directly with Mandy on 07471818474.
