Investor In People 1997, 2000
This national standard for effective employer investment in people provides a catalyst and framework for improving business performance by
linking objectives with people development. Islay & Jura Community Enterprises met the standards in October 1997 and were presented with
the award by Brian Wilson, the then Minister for Industry at the Scottish Office. Investors In People Scotland expressed a desire to use
Islay and Jura Community Enterprises as a model of excellence for small community businesses throughout Scotland. The Mactaggart Leisure Centre
is the first leisure centre in Argyll to achieve this award and the first business on Islay.
We underwent a successful re-assessment in 2000 to retain our award. |
